Vikram's transgender get-up in up-and-coming 'Inkokkadu' ('Iru Muguan' in Tamil) has become a hit with the audience ever since it was first revealed through a trailer. Saying that the role couldn't have been kept a secret, Vikram adds that the audience needed to be prepared as to what is in store before they watch such a one.
Weeks before the release (the Tamil version is hitting the marquee on Sept 2, while the Telugu version may be released a week later) of a film that is going to unveil Vikram in a never-seen-before avatar, the National Award winner says that Love is "neither gay nor a transgender". He only means to say that there is more to him than the biological categorization. Director Anand Shanakr has etched the character in such a way that it defies stereotypes, the actor adds.
The story is more about the clash between the two Vikrams - one is a RAW officer and the other, a doctor on rampage. Revealing that even the line "Nuvvu Raja.. nenu Rani" in the trailer was deliberately inserted to raise curiosity, Vikram gives a pat on the director's back for his meticulousness and detailing.
