The well known saying goes 'What is in the Name' has been proven wrong by Bappa Lahiri ' yes his name say everything. Bappa needs no introduction. After assisting none other than his famous music director father Bhappi Lahiri and Anand Raj Anand, the time for Bappa to rock the Bollywood with his own tunes has come.
Bappa Lahiri is going independent as a music director and that too in a big way with Sanjay Gupta's 'Alibaug'. His first song for the film was rendered by his father Bappi Lahiri and Sanjay Dutt. Bappa will also compose for duo Ekta Kapoor and Sunil Shetty Movie C- Company. Bappa has arranged music and assisted in composing songs for 'Knight Riders' the cricket team of Shahrukh Khan. Bappa says "it was a great experience to work with the superstar. He is so humble and has great sense of music". The known Pakistan singer Omer Inayat will sing a song composed by Bappa Lahiri in a upcoming film starring Fardeen Khan and Diya Mirza.
Bappa is a skilled Tabla player and has taken formal music training in US. Talking about his experience with Omer Inayat he says, "Omer is a great singer and human being, it is wonderful to work with such a talented singer at the start of your career". Bhappa has great films lined up for his career.
