Trust versatile Ajay Devgan to keep throwing one surprise after another.
After two back to back releases in December last year, 'Apaharan' and 'Shikhar', he would now be in a similar situation as two of his flicks 'Golmaal' and 'Omkara' release on 14th and 28th July respectively. The only differentiating factor being that unlike 'Apaharan', which was a hit and 'Shikhar', which was a flop, both 'Golmaal' and 'Omkara' appear to be certain successes at the box office.
While there are no doubts about 'Omkara' taking a bumper opening at the box office, what with numerous factors such as unique setting, interesting characterizations and overall good pre-release buzz for the film going in it's favor, 'Golmaal' too doesn't seem to be lagging too far behind! Reason? It has the magic genre of 'comedy' associated with it, something that has been working phenomenally well for Bollywood in last year and a half. Also, due to a multi-starcast appeal, hit music by Vishal-Shekhar, some genuinely funny promos and presence of Paresh Rawal [who plays a blind man] in the film, 'Golmaal' should only gain at the box office if the word of mouth is good after the first weekend.
After Kajol, who delivered superhit 'Fanaa' along with Aamir Khan and Kunal Kohli a few weeks back, its turn of hubby Ajay to repeat the fate with 'Golmaal' and 'Omkara'
