Gangster's moll Kangana Ranaut is making frequent headlines. Even though she is angrily reacting against the rumours surrounding her, it seems she is merrily enjoying all the attention. Her debut film 'Gangster' earned her accolades from the likes of Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi. And she is already ready with her next 'Woh Lamhe' opposite Shiney Ahuja where she is playing a character based on actress Parveen Babi's persona. The promos of this film loosely based on Mahesh Bhatt's affair with Babi are looking promising.
As for the buzz surrounding Ranaut, then here are a few tidbits of Goss on her. It was written in the media, that she did not attend the funeral of her grandfather in Himachal Pradesh and her family is very upset with her. Her clarification: My grandfather is very much alive and so is my great grandfather. She has known Aditya Pancholi for a long time and they also have a pretty close comfort zone. Her clarification: I've known Aditya ji's family for a long time as they supported me when I first came to Mumbai and I respect him. She replaced Aditya's daughter Sana Pancholi in Suneel Darshan's 'Shakalaka Boom'. Her clarification: I spoke to Zareena ji before accepting the role and she was very happy that it has gone to a family friend and not someone else. She is having a scene with Anurag Basu, the director of 'Gangster' and her forthcoming 'Metro'. Her clarification: I didn't know that I am being linked with Anurag as well but there's no truth in it.
There's no smoke without fire Miss Ranaut. The fact of the matter is that 'Gangster' was not supposed to be her debut film. She had been signed by Pahlaj Nihalani for his version of Lolita with Amitabh Bachchan. In fact she had shot for exclusive provocative pictures for this film with nothing but a half open bath robe. But since the film got delayed, she returned the signing amount and moved on. It seems this talented actress is in a hurry to reach somewhere. And she doesn't mind taking the faster way too.
