Mission Accomplished for Subhash Ghai

Director and Producer Subhash Ghai can be a relieved man now as the wheels of his film institute Whistling Woods have started running on smooth roads.

The first batch of the institute who will pass out on July 2008 are quite a lucky group as they got the admission without any troubles and doubts when Whistling Woods was opened on July 18 2006 and also because there are around 20 media companies waiting for campus recruitment.

The new aspiring actors, producers, directors, other technicians and animators who wish be the next batch to get a two year intense hands on training programe with world media and cinema exposure will have to be quite lucky if they want to be a part of Subash Ghai's pet project as the academy will need to drop 60% of the applications due to a shortage of seats.

Senior Vice President ' Business Development of Whistling Woods Chaitanya Chinchlekar says that the thousands of hits the institute's website gets every week is an indicator of the coming generation's realization of the importance of professional training to get a foothold in an industry which pays the maximum.

Subhash Ghai admits that he is amazed at the fast growth in talent and maturity as professionals in most students in senior batches of all the disciplines.

The show man of Bollywood also expresses his gratitude to the team of professors and stalwarts of the film Industry who have shared their knowledge and experience.

The setting up of the Institute took a lot of time of the veteran director during which he did not involve himself in directing at all.

Now the purpose of setting up of a world class institute to churn out high quality film personalities have been successful in such a short time itself.

The director has proved to be a step ahead than his colleagues by contributing back to not only the Hindi film Industry that gave him the title show man but also to the other regional industries in the form of a well prepared and trained youngsters raring to go and prove their worth.
