Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is back with his next Hindi venture. After taking a brief gap from Hindi films, Varma went back to his native industry where he completed and released two of his films which just like Rakhta Charithra series bombed at the Telugu BO.
Now Varma is ready to start his Department, announced long back. As a part of its cast which includes the majority of male leads, Varma yesterday roped inn the actress of the season Kangan Ranaut.
Kangana will be playing Abhishek’s wife in the film. Ironically Ramu wanted to work with the Tanu Weds Manu actress ever since her Gangster got released but things didn’t turn out as expected.
“Kangana is the only actress that came into my mind when I thought of an actress opposite Abhishek in Department”, said Ramu.
Apart from Abhishek, Department sees Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt in the lead. It is the story about three cops and the way they deal with a city when it encounters extra-constitutional actions.
Hopefully this film will succeed for Varma.
