Transcending boundaries, the popularity of Excel Entertainment's latest hit 'Rock On' climbed a notch higher as its music album stood at number 13 on last week's iTunes US World Music chart.
"Music has no boundaries," said an elated Ritesh Sidhwani, who produced the film along with Farhan Akhtar. He added that "this is probably the first time; an Indian album has reached so high up on the iTunes charts".
Since its release two weeks ago, the film has been widely acclaimed for its robust rock soundtrack created by composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Its songs "Socha Hai", "Rock On", "Sindbad The Sailor" and "Pichhle Saat Dino Mein" have caught on with the young and old alike.
The fact that the album is now among the top 15 albums on iTunes, indicates the popularity of the film's music beyond Indian shores.
Excel Entertainment has earlier delivered successes like 'Dil Chahta Hai', 'Lakshya', 'Don' and 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.'.
