Ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in for some troubled times. Farida Hoosenally, an antique shop owner in South Mumbai had rented some expensive antique items to Bhansali during the shooting of his acclaimed masterpiece 'Black'. The same antique pieces were destroyed in the fire that had gutted the sets of the film. When Bhansali refused to compensate the losses that ran into crores, she had to run helter-skelter before High Court intervened and directed the police to file an FIR in the case.
Farida arrived in Mumbai from London on Friday and will be filing an FIR at the Aarey Police Station today. Since this is a non-bailable offence, it could mean the arrest of six people, including Bhansali, the prime accused. Farida says she was charmed by Sanjay's smooth ways and due to which she never took any guarantee from him and gave away the furniture. But when the damage was done, Bhansali even stopped taking her calls. It is strange but SLB has a history of fire destroying his sets. The story started with a palatial set catching fire leading to the loss of crores in 'Devdas'. 'Black' met with a similar mishap.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is unavailable but his office says that let the law take its own course. Stay tuned to MusicMazaa for updates to the antics unspoiled by this story.
