Aagadu Review
by MyMazaa.comStory:
Aagadu begins with a stylish entry by Mahesh Babu as Encounter specialist Shankar. On the other side enters Damodar [Sonu Sood], a local goon who plans to construct a power factory in Bukkapatnam and kills whoever opposes him in the process. Inorder to stop the hassles, Police head Rao Ramesh transfers Encounter Shankar to Bukkapatnam, where the latter finds Damodar's connection to his family and strives hard for his downfall. See Aagadu on screens for Mahesh's romantic track with Tamanna [Saroja], comedy by Brahmanandam and one-liners by Mahesh Babu...
Performance:
Mahesh, Mahesh and only Mahesh throughout the movie. Mahesh Babu proved he is a true entertainer once again. He is a director's actor who fits the bill well. His dialogues in the movie are highlight.
Tamanna is glamorous on-screen and suits the village belle role well. Her chemistry with Mahesh is a feast for viewers.
Sonu Sood is at his regular best in the role of a villain, yet his menacing look is missing.
Brahamanandam has perfectly taken care of comedy tracks. Vennela Kishore, Rajendra Prasad, Nasser, Posani Krishna Murali and Ashish Vidhyardhi are decent in their respective roles.
Technical Analysis:
Srinu Vaitla has made one more keen entertainer with his trade mark elements. Yet director scores best in showcasing Mahesh in a well stitched character that matches his Super stardom.
Music by Thaman gels with the narration, continuing the similar style to sync with Dookudu.
Cinematography is an asset. Visuals are dishy and interesting on the big screens including the scenes that we have watched in trailers and songs.
Production values are high and 14 Reels takes the credits for one more blockbuster in Mahesh Babu's career. Editing is okay and could be crisper.
Analysis:
Aagadu is out and out Mahesh Babu's show with few interesting elements. While the interval bang is elicit, climax is a rush and mere predictable.
Regular Sreenu Vaitla style of script and narration style are one of the minus for the movie, though it is well carried out by Mahesh Babu and his co-stars. Especially, Sonu Sood's character could have been elevated, so as few other roles could have given enough space.
Aagadu has crossed the bench mark with lavish production values with best technical crew and notable top notch actors in the important roles.
