Desamuduru Review

Unlike other young heroes, Allu Arjun has a clean track record. He is giving successive hits right from his debut. Especially, he is very careful in selecting subjects and is not limiting himself to a particular image. He is also not in a hurry to do films and is doing only one film at a time to concentrate on the character.

He had the ability to shake his legs with much élan and ease. Now he toned up his body to suit the macho man image for his latest flick 'Desamuduru'. Puri Jagannath who rewrote the history with his last film 'Pokiri' maintained his style again and proved that he is on a winning streak and ensured the film to achieve hit talk right from the first show.

Bala (Allu Arjun) is a programme director in MAA TV. He works in crime division and once he goes to Dhoolpet to shoot the illicit breweries. In the process, he bashes Murugan (Subbaraju), son of a notorious arrack smuggler Tambi Durai (Pradeep Rawat).

To save him from getting killed by Tambi Durai, the channel staff sends Bala to Kulu Manali, where Bala meets a sanyasin called Vaishali (Haansika). Bala loses Vaishali at first sight and finally succeeds in winning her love. By the time Bala wanted to take Vaishali to Hyderabad, she gets kidnapped by some goons.

Bala returns to Hyderabad and comes to know that Vaishali is with Tambi Durai and also learnt that Vaishali is the daughter of one Narayana Patwari and Tambi Durai kills Patwari and his wife to grab his property. However, Vaishali escapes and reaches Kulu Manali and joins an ashram and turns a sanyasin. Bala finally saves Vaishali from Tambi Durai's clutches and ensure his arrest by the police with the help of MAA TV crew.

Allu Arjun's performance is excellent all through the film. He showed good ease in dances as well as in action scenes. He built his body and did a lot of exercise to get a macho man image. He flexed his muscles in action scenes and they were perfectly captured by cinematographer Shyam K Naidu.

Three songs were shot on him, while there are two duets and one item song. There was a huge applause for his dances and action scenes. Chakri gave mass tunes for the flick and all of them were good to listen and were also choreographed nicely.

Haansika looked glamorous and has fresh look for the audiences. Though she has nothing much to perform, her glamour remains a plus point for the film. Puri Jagannath once again proved that he has good comedy timing and the comedy tracks that run on Ali and Kovai Sarala are hilarious.

The film is worth watching for its songs and action scenes. Rambha's item song before climax is also nice. Pradeep Rawat and Subbaraju did justice to their roles.
