Jambhada Hudugi Review

In the title role making debut as director for her home banner debut cinema Priya Hassan has taken up a thought provoking subject €“ uterus ovary transplantation. This is a unique thought and one such experiment in 2002 in Dubai helped a woman to conceive in her married life.

Priya Hassan taking up multiple responsibilities, looking very beautiful on screen has opened up the eyes of medicine fraternity in India. We have heard of surrogate mothers but this is one step ahead of it.

A love story film with such a thread in the climax shows the commitment and concern of young Priya Hassan towards society.

Priya is a doctor. She is in love with Akash. The love affair between the two suddenly takes a curious turn. Akash rejects the offer of marriage extended by Priya. What is the reason? You find the answer at the fag end of the film. Meanwhile Akash's younger brother Yash loves Priya but he is satisfied when Priya rejects him frankly that results in Yash getting married to another girl. That another girl is in piquant situation. She cannot become mother. She does not reveal this secret to Yash and marries him. Now with Akash taking to liquor narrowly escapes the company of drug peddlers. Thanks to Yash and Priya! Now it is time for Priya to take a bold step. She decides to donate her uterus and ovary to Yash's wife. Despite of very big opposition in the hospital she takes this step. There is a reason behind this sacrifice. Priya's lover Akash has become impotent after an accident. So it is right to live with him in this condition is what Priya feels.

Priya Hassan looks very charming. As a young actress taking the film in the middle of shooting from director Seetharam Karanth she has refined her thoughts and shows her command in the screenplay. Yash is very good in his debut. Jai Akash has nothing much to do. Jayanthi has given another weeping performance.

Rajesh Ramanath should have come to the rescue of this director with very good tunes to lift the film when such bold steps are taken by the director and producer. Cameraman Janardhan is impressive.

This is a film not only for affected families but also for Indian medical fraternity.
