Jerry Review
by MyMazaa.comCrazy Mohan has kept his reputation of coming up with non-stop laugh-riots intact with Jerry. His Crazy Creations, which left a mark on the stage, has gone a step above to leave their impression on the bigger stage.
Director S B Kanthan deserves a pat for getting the best from his artistes. Though the movie seems to be an extension of Crazy Mohan's stage plays, the hilarious sequence makes it engrossing. The highlight is Maadhu Balaji playing a full-fledged comical role.
The movie begins with Jayaram alias Jerry(Ramesh) winning a cricket match played in his college. His callous attitude incurs the wrath of Janaki (Sruthy). Both do not see eye to eye. Meanwhile Jerry, who is fond of challenges, is forced to accept a challenge from his friend (Raghav).
He urges Jerry to make three women fall in love with him simultaneously. He comes across a police inspector Jeeva (Meera Vasudevan) and uses all means to convince her. Next on line is a popular actress Janani (Mumtaz). Through the actresse's uncle Rukku (Crazy Mohan), he reaches out to Janani and succeeds in wooing her too. Next and last on the line is his college-mate Janaki.
The rest is about the mistaken identities with the families of all the three women wanting to arrange marriage with Jerry's parents. It all boils down to with whom Jerry finally enters wedlock with.
Ramesh, in a breezy role, enjoys every bit of it. Though comedy is not his strong suit, he has tried his best and come out with a satisfactory performance.
Among the three heroines, Mumtaz is a stand out proving that she can also perform in author-backed roles. Meera Vasudev and Sruthy are adequate. Maadhu Balaji is sure to make it to the big league. Thanks to his sheer improvisation and quick delivery of dialogues, while Crazy Mohan as usual stamps his class.
His dialogues, especially if you are fond of his stage plays, are a real treat. One liners after one-liners follow in mirthy profusion.
Produced by L Ve Creations, Jerry, the brain child of Crazy Mohan, has been given good shape by Kanthan. It is sure to make you laugh all through.
